The AC/DC concert last night was UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE! Holy cow.... I really have no words. I have never seen such an outstanding performance in my (short) life haha. I always joke about how I grew up in the wrong generation. I love all of the old bands and would kill to see some of my favorite bands in concert (that I know I never will, i.e Guns N Roses). These guys are in their 60s and ran around that stage like they were 20. Angus Young is freakin incredible. He took his tie off his neck and started playing the guitar with it! The finale was literally perfect. They played For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), and shot off cannons and fireworks! I had such a great time and had a ton of energy. I did not know how I would make out after running 16 miles that morning, but I felt great! I reached a new step goal yesterday of 43,000 steps! WOO!
This morning I woke up not really wanting to run at all. I was tired and just had no motivation, but I got up and didn't even think about it. I got dressed, got my camel bak ready, had half of a mini bagel with peanut butter, and headed out the door. I took it nice and easy and did a different route, which was nice. I actually felt really good, surprisingly. My legs needed the shakeout run I guess. I ran a pretty consistent 9 minute mile the whole time, and my last mile was the fastest. I added in about 8 strides at the end to get some fast bursts. Boy was I tired by the end! I am happy this week of running is done. 51.5 miles this week marks my highest mileage week thus far. This coming week I have an even higher mileage week, but I'm ready!!
I wore this shirt on my run because I thought it was perfect for this morning!
After my run I had some blueberry Kodiak Cakes with peanut butter, syrup, banana, and almonds with a blacked iced coffee!
Questions to ponder:
What was the best concert you've ever been to? Do you ever have a complete lack of motivation? What is your highest mileage week for a marathon training cycle?
Happy Sunday friends!!
