Good afternoon friends! I'm blogging a bit late today because I filled in at work today from 7-3. I had my "track" workout this morning, but I did not run it on a track. I had to run it around my neighborhood because I went out at 4:30 am and it was still pitch black, and the track that I run on would be pitch black. It's also right next to the woods, so my mother wasn't quite keen on me going up there at that time. My neighborhood is a loop so it worked out well. Also, I had to run up some inclines, which made the workout harder, but a challenge is good, right? It made me push out of my comfort zone more than usual and the hard days are the ones that help you improve!
The workout was a 1 mile warmup, 3 X 1600 repeats with 800 recovery between each, and a 1.5 mile cool down. This workout totaled 7.25 miles. The splits went as follows:
1 mile warmup- 8:54
1600- 7:58
800 recovery- 4:21
1600- 7:47
800 recovery- 4:26
1600- 7:44
800 recovery- 4:23
1.5 mile cool down- 12:34
= 7.5 mile total in 1 hour

Yesterday's Eats:
Steak, brown rice, ranch broccoli, and a small scoop of green bean casserole!
Randomness:
The dog loves coming down to my room in the early evening to sleep because she knows I won't bother her and she doesn't want anyone else to bother her! She is VERY crabby at night when she's tired. She is so much like a baby that it's not even funny!
Tomorrow I have an easy 6-7 miler and I plan on doing a good strength routine after!
Happy Tuesday!
