On my long run yesterday, I tried 2 different flavors of energy gels. The two flavors were salted watermelon and chocolate raspberry.
Salted watermelon: This flavor was not bad at all. I think I liked it, but I'm not sure it will be a contender in my actual marathon. It was definitely better than the maple bacon, but I didn't love it. The saltiness was good but a bit overbearing for me. I enjoy the sweetness more than the saltiness, so I think I'll stick with the "dessert" flavors.

Chocolate raspberry: I really liked this flavor. It's definitely in the running for my marathon. I have liked all of the chocolate flavors so far, and this was no different. Chocolate raspberry is one of my favorite flavor combinations, so I was happy when I found it!

I had another flavor of Luna Bar yesterday. It was a mint chocolate chip protein bar. I really enjoyed it. It actually tasted like a thin mint cookie and I loved the consistency! It was chewy and the chocolate coating on the outside was delicious! It was also more filling than a normal Luna Bar because it was more dense. Overall, I would give this flavor an A.
Questions to ponder:
Do you like protein bars? Have you ever tried energy gels?
